I was having a look at the eligibility criteria of SPJIMR and saw that they demanded a Quant cutoff of 75 percentile. A Q49 is 74 percentile in GMAT, hence by that logic it is not enough. Do we really need at least a Q50 to apply?

Are you sure this is genuine, because a Q49 is a bit on the higher side and comparing the final GMAT score with that of the CAT score, things seems a bit unbalanced.
I agree with you, see this table I have taken directly from SP Jain's site. Even I am not sure how it works, because on various forums it is mentioned that the cutoff for SP Jain is around 670ish. It doesn't really make sense. I have dropped a mail to their admissions. I hope they revert soon.

I think those cutoffs that you have seen are for the executive MBA. You have posted this for the regular PGDM.

No, I am talking about the PGDM course only. Here, have a look at it yourself.

Yeah, I meant maybe the 670 cutoff that you have seen on forums could be for some other program or it could be an old number.

Nothing can be done :)

Anyone with a Q50+ and V35+ can apply but everyone else is not eligible.

Lol, so basically SPJIMR has kept a cutoff that's more than the average score of the top b-schools in the world. Wow.

Yeah. I think since most of the students apply via CAT, they haven't done much research on GMAT sectional scores and the percentiles, which is disappointing.

Exactly, I have dropped a few emails. But I don't think much will change. Let's still hope for the best.

Hi,
They were adamant on the cutoff. So it's Q50 if you want to be eligible. Makes no sense but you can't help it.
