Hello Everyone,

I am from india and planning to start my MBA classes in next year. However my GMAT scores are between 350-400 and the exam is scheduled on September 14. I am planning to score around 700+ and apply for very good business colleges.
I was planning to apply for round 1 but since my current scores are not even close to my target scores do you think i should just forget about round 1 and reschedule my exam around November 18 and apply for round 2?

Do you think it'll be late to apply for round 2 if i reschedule my exam during November? Will I miss anything if i write my exams during November?

I need some experts advise.?

Hello Everyone,

I am from india and planning to start my MBA classes in next year. However my GMAT scores are between 350-400 and the exam is scheduled on September 14. I am planning to score around 700+ and apply for very good business colleges.

hi...

1) You should postpone your exam to a further date depending on avail of time hereon for prep.
400 to 700+ would require MIN of 3 months of proper studies, so you should plan accordingly.
2) rescheduling to November would be OK if you can work on simultaneously on your application and gmat. But from present state, you require some very serious studies to get to 700+

hi...

Hello Chetan,

Thank you very much. Considering that I have around 2 and half months can you please advise me a study format or time table so that I can start my preparations?

Also I am confused regarding the colleges to apply can you advise me on this? I am starting to get scared. I feel like I am going no where..

Even if you study every waking hour of the day, there is basically no chance you'll be able to add the ~350 points you're looking for in ~3 weeks. You need to reschedule to November at the earliest, and consider applying the following year. 350-400 range is pretty poor.

Hi,

I am struggling to get a good GMAT score.I gave Gmat thrice.
Gmat1-560
Gmat2-540
Gmat3-610

However,before my recent attempt,my scores on GMAT official preps(all 6) were 730,700,690,700,690,700 respectively.MGMAT scores on verbal was on average 35,Verbal average score on GMAT Club tests was 30-35.I don't know why on the actual paper i got only 27 in Verbal.

What should i do,should i retake within 18-20 days or should i start my application process?

Target schools-John Molson,HEC montreal,and some European B schools

You're probably polluting your practice mocks with problems that you've already done before, or you have some serious test-day issues that need sorting out (or a combination of the above). If it's the former, you need to reschedule and double down on studying. If it's the latter, there are several great threads on the topic.
