Depends on how you define hard. I think MGMAT Verbal is just very convoluted.

Here are my scores with breakdown

11/9 MGMAT-600-35Q/36V

11/20 MGMAT-560-32Q 35V (very distracted and paused a lot)

11/25 GmatPrep 700 44Q 41V

11/28 MGMAT 580 36Q 33V

12/2 GmatPrep 680 42Q 41V

12/4 MGMAT 570 33Q 35V

I also took the actual GMAT on 6/23 and scored 600 39Q 34V. I have been studying for the last 3 months from MGMAT books before my official gmat in June I used Kaplan study material. I feel with the MGMAT that I have a better grasp of the material. I am hoping this time to score somewhere around 650-660. Does it seem like I have a chance at that score. I am just so confused because I don't know what score to go by. My test is Dec. 10. Also does anyone have any good advice to improve MGMAT or just general advice to help score higher.

Thanks so much

Hey there,
To me, you definitely seem to have the chance of scoring 650+. The most accurate indicator of your score is GMAT Prep which you've done really well on. MGMAT CATs are supposed to be harder, and most people usually score above their MGMAT scores. You're obviously doing well in Verbal, so i would suggest you focusing on quantitative weaknesses. Go through OG 12 problems and keep error log, which will help you locate your weak areas.

Good probability of getting 650 or above (generally your GMAT prep scores are indicative of actual GMAT scores with an error range of +-50 points. 'Most people see - though')
GMAT prep Verbal is pretty indicative, Quant, not so much. Try to get your weak areas sorted out before the test.

Any consistency in your mistakes? Are you getting more of something wrong that's showing up on MGMAT than GMATprep?

You seem to be all set for a 700 score if you keep your wits about you. Keep your cool and give it your best shot. Don't take any more practice tests and just review in the next week.

GMATPrep scores are generally more predictive of your true ability (as far as the GMAT goes) than non-official tests, so that 710 is definitely a positive sign. I'd ask you to take one more GMATPrep though, just to ensure than a non-official test is not what is on your mind when you're taking the exam. If you do take another GMATPrep, don't leave it too late. This is the time to rest well and gather your mental strength for the actual exam.

Hi niyatibansal,

As noted above, MGMAT quant is harder. I did not time MGMAT tests, I just solved the questions and reviewed all of them. My goal was to learn as much as possible from each question. So, I wouldn't worry.

Only the official gmatprep CAT score matters.

Hope this helps
