Should I be writing the essays everytime i take the practice tests?

If you do so that will be great. This will enable you to go through the same situation that you feel in the real test i.e math section starts after one hour of continuos writing. Many test prep companies suggest to give the practice CATs by writing the essays too. Also, many test takers in their gmat experience mention this explicitly that one should write the essays during the practice CATs.

So do go for writing the essays while taking the practice CATs.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I will go about doing it.
When are you taking the Gmat? I have planned for Nov,2010.
I am collecting material to study. Any study plans?

I think this depends. If you don't have enough time and are weak on math/verbal, I would spend the extra hour studying. If you do 10 prac tests, thats 10 hours of extra study.

I would do it once though, like a full test, so you know how long the whole thing takes and what your stamina is like.
