Well, considering I had to ask for LoR's... pretty sure cat is out of the bag. I did inform my recommenders I was admitted to CBS and my supervisor knows as well. I did caveat that I'm not 100% sure I'm going (of course I really am) as to avoid the whole "impending doom" scenario that may take place. I want to keep a paycheck until the last minute so that's going to be a juggling act. Was thinking of banking all my vacation days next year and trying to leverage that and a bit of working remote to make it through until September (2 weeks after orientation at CBS) with paychecks. We'll see how it plays out.

My Direct manager knows I'm applying, and I'll be asking him for a LoR... But I let him believe I was looking PT.

I'm currently contracted, and will be renewed come December for another year. If I were a permanent employee, I'd probably take a different track. Once I do find out, I'll let everyone know to shorten my contract by a few months.

some of them know a bit of information about my interest in MBA... but dont know exactly when, part time/fulltime or that I may move out of state to do so.

My supervisor and mentor know as they are both writing recs for me. I positioned this as something that is a longshot so I would still be eligible for opportunities as they arise. If accepted I plan to work at least through the end of the fiscal year so I can get my bonus. I plan to take 2 months off prior to starting my MBA program.

My boss knows and knows its full time. I tried to spin it as, "they are all top schools so there is still a chance I'll get rejected and stay." I was supposed to be up for promotion this year ahead of pace, so I'm afraid they wont do it anymore. Plus with money short in the industry, why give a bonus to a guy that will leave in less than a year. I'm goint to try not to tell them if i get accepted before bonus/promotion season, but I'm afraid they're already pulling back anything they were going to give me as far as promotion/bonus. I guess I shouldn't care about the promotion since I'm heading in a completely different direction, but it would look nice on the resume plus I think I deserve it. Oh well.
