Hi guys,
I've a 9-month employment gap for which I've a very good reason which I'm certain won't be held against my candidacy.
I'm meeting an manager who is visiting my city for one of my target schools (the school is foreign) for a half hour 1-to-1 meeting. He has asked for my resume to be emailed to him prior to our meeting. (obviously)
Now my question is this, how exactly I write about the employment gap in my CV?
I left my job and returned back to it after 9 months. Some people might term it as a leave of absence as I never really quit and essentially came back into my job.
I'd appreciate if someone could suggest how it should be incorporated in the resume and under what section should it be placed in the resume?

Well I would have to know more about the situation to give you advice. Why did you take the leave? You did nothing during those nine months at all? Were you sick? Someone in your family sick? Were you on furlough? Or were you just bored? If it was a personal leave, I would just make the dates of your employment reflect that. If it was something else, that would require more thought.

On a resume you usually would not indicate anything to compensate for an employment gap. This is the type of thing that could go in an optional essay but not on a resume. Since you are just using this for a meeting you already have set up, I wouldn't worry about it. You will have the meeting regardless and if it comes up, you can explain it. I don't recommend calling attention to it.
