Hi Stacy,
Thank you so much for sharing your expertise with the GMAT Club!
I'm in the early stages of the admissions process and would love to get a general idea of goals I should be setting for the GMAT to become a competitive candidate for a Top 20 program, specifically in Marketing.
Here is the rest of my profile:
-White Male
-3.51 GPA from University of Miami
-Will be applying with 1 year advertising agency experience and 1.5 years experience in-house marketing (both small regional companies where I made a demonstrable bottom-line difference)
-Active in several alumni clubs/volunteer organizations
-Will be able to secure quality recommendations
-Small business owner and freelance writer
-Writing skills and standardized testing skills are two of my strongest assets (so hopefully essays and GMAT scores will be strong)
I scored a 680 on my first GMAT practice test and have prepped a bit since, but what do you think would be a good target score that can make me competitive at top schools? Are there other additional steps you can recommend beyond testing scores that would help augment my profile?
Thank you again for your help and I look forward to hearing from you!
Mark
