Hi geekyindian,
Thanks for your message. I am happy to provide this feedback on your profile.
How did you do on the Verbal and Quant sections of your GRE? That will be important to be able to fully assess your profile. Depending on your math/verbal split, I may want you to retake the GRE to be competitive at more of the schools that you mentioned.
Also, what university did you go to in India? The AdComs at the top business schools know the specific universities in India, and a First Class degree from a leading Indian university will make you an even stronger candidate.
There are two potential weaknesses in your profile. First, it is important to note that 10 years of work experience puts you on the older end of successful applicants. While you could still get admitted to a top MBA program, you should definitely apply this year as this is almost certainly your last legitimate chance to apply (I usually prefer that professionals apply with a maximum of 6-7 years of work experience). If you are not admitted to one of your top schools this year, you may consider waiting a couple years and then doing an executive MBA instead.
It will also be important to strive to distinguish yourself from other Indian male software engineers through your personal experiences, unique community service experience, etc.
Given the importance of overcoming the challenge of being an older applicant and of distinguishing yourself from a very competitive applicant pool of Indian software engineers, you would likely significantly benefit from working with the admissions experts at
