Hi,
I would love to know if I should retake the GMAT to try and get a higher score, and if my low GPA is going to be a big issue.
1) I have five years full-time work experience, working for the leading glass museum in the world in the marketing department as a glassblowing demonstrator and team leader. I manage demonstrations and employees doing demonstrations (basically doing pr) for the museum at remote venues. My museum is partnered with a cruise line and my main focus for the last four years has been setting up a glassblowing demonstration onboard. This entails working with the cruise line to set up the running of the show including maintenance, logistics, managing personal onboard, integrating our museums mission and goals into the culture of another company, creating a training manual, training future managers, and working onboard with 60+ different nationalities at sea and in multiple different countries around the world.
Prior to working for the museum I was an independently employed artist with a brief part time job teaching GRE and SAT for Kaplan to make ends meet.
2) GMAT 680 V36 M46
3) Cornell University, 3.1 BS Design and Environmental Analysis. I went to Cornell when I was 17 and spent a year in the engineering school before transferring into a major I later found I wasn't very excited about (hence the low GPA)
4) 4 years Varsity Softball at Cornell and Co-captain.
5) 32/F/American
6) Stanford
UC Berkeley
Harvard
HEC
7) Ideally, I would like to go into non-profit management particularly focused in the arts and museum management.
Thanks so much for any help and advice.
