Undergraduate Degree (2010): BS in Business Administration, U of Alabama, GPA: 4.00
Post Graduate Degree (2011): Masters in Accountancy, U of Alabama, GPA: 3.80
CPA with approx. 3 years with Big 4 Accounting firm with focus on PE, Life & Annuity, and Healthcare Provider entities
- Received first promotion at Big 4 firm within 2 yrs v. the standard of 3 yrs.
- Lead teams of 2-4 in order to effectively & efficiently execute audits of clients (including SEC filers)
- Extensive travels abroad for various volunteer/social work trips
Target schools: HBS, Chicago, MIT, Duke, UVA, Emory. Also very interested in Internat'l Programs (London Business School, IESE, IMD, INSEAD)
- I plan to apply for Jan 2016 start class
- Want to make a shift out of accounting and into finance/PE/AM. Long term career goal would be to work with an Alt. Investment Firm

You’ve got a great foundation so far for your goals and your MBA plans. Excellent academics, strong career progress, and GMAT that’s satisfactory – it does what it has to.
At this point, with continued career growth, your list of schools would be on target in my view. This assumes stellar applications. Obviously HBS would be a very high reach, followed by MIT and Chicago, with the other US schools in the on-par to low reasonable reach range.
For the European schools, Insead would similarly be a high reasonable reach, followed by LBS. However, continental European schools have had relatively low interest from US applicants, and would like to see more applicants from the US, and this situation could boost your chances at European schools relatively.
