Hi all!
I am applying to a few business schools this year, these are H/S/W,Booth, Kellogg, Columbia, MIT, Tuck ad Stern. I'll be applying in Round 1, but will likely be out of the country from around 20th Nov'14 to about 20th Dec'14 as I am getting married at the time. I dont think I'd be able to do anything about this time, we've been planning for a while and these dates are not that flexible (might be able to do +/- 2/3 days in Nov).
I fell I have a competitive profile and hope to receive couple of interview invites (fingers crossed). I am hoping that all the admission consultants, and past/current applicants can share their insights into the timelines for the interview invites and approximate time when these interviews would likely be held.

For Kellogg and Tuck, you can initiate your own interview. That way, you can control the timing and interview before you leave. You can interview as early as September for Tuck. For Kellogg, you can interview once your application has been submitted. The app was due in mid-October this past year, and I interviewed in early November. Definitely take advantage of applicant-initiated interviews.
HBS will send interview invites a few weeks after the application deadline. You could take one of the early interview slots.
Stanford sends interview invites over a month-long period. If you are granted an interview, you will be paired with an alum in your area and you will have 10 days to arrange a mutually convenient time and location. The Stanford application specifically asks whether there are specific dates when you will be traveling.
The other option is a phone/Skype interview. I didn't apply to your other schools, so I don't know what their processes are.

Thanks a lot for your reply.. I think this is very useful information... I wasnt aware of the Tuck interviews as early as September at all. By the way, which school are are you heading to, come Fall?
