Hi,
I wrote GMAT today and scored 740 (Q49 V41 IR8 AWA awaited) I have a total experience of close to 10 years with 6 years in IT service companies (Infosys and Wipro) and 4 years in product development company (CA technologies). I also have an experience of close to 2 years at client's location in US.
I have worked in various roles such as Software engineer, Technical analyst, technical lead and principal software engineer.
As far as acads go, I have 76% in my B.E. degree. I don't really have any major extracurricular to show on my application though.
Could you kindly evaluate my profile and let me know what you think. My target is IIM - A or IIM - B. Please do suggest on other colleges that suit my profile.

Thanks for your message. I enjoyed reading your profile and reviewed it similar to other candidates' profiles when I worked in admissions.
Your GMAT score is a solid score and falls within the competitive range for IIM-Ambdebad and IIM-Bangalore based on our experience last year.
I understand your concern for not having extracurricular activities, however, remember that this is one of six components that you will be evaluated on, it is by no means a "deal-breaker." Try to give it your absolute best and please do not underestimate your experience at some major companies such as Wipro, Infosys and CA Technologies. Regardless of the opinions you receive from forums, please apply to the programs which attract you the most and do not underestimate the professional and academic background that you possess. I find that 90% of MBA candidates I have worked with tend to "opt-out" of a program's application process as they feel that they do not stand a chance. They do this before the school can even receive their application. Regardless of where you fall with your competition, let the program make the ultimate decision on your candidacy. Most candidates share with me how they are pleasantly surprised when they are accepted and never thought they stood a chance in top tier programs.
The worst thing that you can do as a candidate is underestimate your background. I feel that this is worse than receiving a rejection from any program. The best thing you can do is take your "best foot forward" and leave the decision to the schools. Please do not "opt-out" of your dream schools because you think you may not stand a chance. Being fearless is one of the greatest qualities of global leaders throughout history!
