Thanks the additional info helps a ton. I would also consider a balance of schools where you can be competitive at that also would be good matches for your career interest. Schools like Tepper, Yale SOM, and UT - McCombs would fit this description for you. I would really recommend that you leverage your unique background in public sector/non-profit to differentiate yourself. Leverage anecdotes from this experience and clarify how your personal and professional passions intertwine now and will so in the future to help your profile stand out. This will be key at most of these schools as you aim to breakthrough

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for your replies,

Also, looking at my Gmat and Engineering background from India, do you think I'll lose any advantage of not applying round 1 in Yale, McCombs and Tepper? I still have a few days to make it to Round 1 at Tepper and McCombs. Should I try to hit Round 1 in these schools or should i take my time and apply in round 2? What would my scholarship chances?

I never recommend rushing any application. So look at the timeline realistically and decide will me application be better off or stronger in a subsequent round. If you can produce a stronger application then hold off. Also, keep in mind there are a few moving parts when submitting an application as you will need to secure recommendations as well which can be more difficult to control the timing of especially on short notice.

Thanks a ton. I really appreciate your help. I think I will start filling in the application and will see if I can write strong essays in the next few days. I already have written essays for around 5 schools. Most of the schools have essays almost on the same lines. If not, I will definitely put in my applications for Round 2 in the schools that you have suggested.

Thanks again,
Kumar
