I am an Indian Applicant planning to apply for 1 year MBA
Profile:
GMAT: 660
Q: 47 V: 33 IR: 6 AWA: 6.0
College - 84% - top 15 college in India
School - 91% - school topper
Work ex: 7.5 years - Consultant at Bank of America
4.5 years at Bank of America
3 years at infosys
EC:
1) Vulture Conservation activist
2) Editor of College Magazine
3) College Hostel President of over 150 students
Post-MBA job : Consultant
Target Schools
1) Katz - university of Pittsburg 1 year MBA
2) Purdue 1 year MBA
3) University of Texas at Dallas - Jindal School - 15 month MBa
4) Mannheim , Germany
5) HEC paris
6) Simon - 1 year MBA
7) Emory - 1 year MBA
I am confused whether i should apply for schools 4 & 5. I am not sure whether my profile is competitive enough. Experts please advise
For schools 6 & 7, i assume my profile is not competitive enough ( low GMAT and high work ex)
Even if i get through, i cant get scholarship and i cant afford high fees.
So i plan to skip both the schools. I am not sure whether i am correct .
Can you guys please help me out. Do i have good chance for schools 1,2 & 3
Also, are there any other schools which i can apply ( criteria: 1 year MBA, US /Europe)

- You have not mentioned the nature of your experience or work related achievements/progression. In absence of that, it is difficult to make out the strength of the overall profile. Feel free to post that please
- Overall, I dont think the major issue is of work-experience but more on the GMAT front. That said, your school choice looks balanced apart from probably the last two in the list. It doesnt harm to throw in a few risky schools in there and 4&5 should do exactly that. Though each case has its own merit, but we've seen low GMAT scores succeed in one of those schools. Read here for more.
- This post may throw a bit more light on the 1 Yr options in the US.
