Hi all, I was hoping that I could get some advice on pre-MBA classes here. My background is pretty much entirely liberal arts, with a few math classes that I did decently in (usually between a B+ and A, with one or two B- grades). Overall GPA 3.6, ended up getting a 730 GMAT (47Q, 45V). I figure I should take the time to shore up the quant aspect of my application before I apply in 2016, and the obvious first place is calculus (which I've never taken). The local universities are thousands of dollars for a class which is crazy, so I've been looking online.
The two I've found are the Berkeley Self Paced class (extension.berkeley.edu/search/publicCourseSearchDetails.do?method=load&courseId=41487) and the UCLA class (uclaextension.edu/pages/Course.aspx?reg=256503) . I would prefer the self paced one at Berkeley since I can start sooner, but my understanding is that it's not considered equivalent to the on-campus class in terms of being a prerequisite for Berkeley classes - which makes me question whether it'll transfer cleanly during applications. Is that a reason to opt for UCLA, or is it fine regardless?
