Hi--I posted this elsewhere, but I wanted to get some opinions.
About me: 26 yr old female, U.S.
Undergrad is from an OK state liberal arts school.
Post MBA goals: strategy consulting w/ focus on emerging markets
most important aspects of MBA=global focus
Stats:
3.4 GPA, International Affairs major, minor in French Language
Former Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine
Still active on volunteer committees at work and outside of work
No GRE score yet
Languages: Russian (advanced), French (intermediate), Spanish (basic)
Work experience: ~4+ years, mostly in public policy
~1+ year consulting for a non-profit at the UN
~2 years in Peace Corps, working on project management and local business dev
~2 years (current) working for federal government ensuring HR depts comply with laws; negotiate settlements if not
Also freelanced and published some articles, planned some events at the UN, etc
I'm interested in INSEAD..but trying to get an idea of what other schools are out there. I'm a terrible test taker and my background in quant could be vastly improved (B- in Macroecon in undergrad, B+ in Intl Trade and Finance due to lack of focus).
Any thoughts or tips are appreciated
