Hi there,

Thanks for the details. First, I recommend that you think a bit deeper about "why MBA". You mention that you're looking for credibility and a stamp of approval, and while these may in fact be true for a lot of people, you can't hang your hat on this. Think about how this sounds to the AdComm - they'll think you just want to show up and graduate. That's not compelling to anyone. Of course the value of the MBA is credibility, etc, however you have to dig deeper to demonstrate your reasoning for why you'll be a valuable addition to any one school's community.

Your goals are a bit generic - essentially you're saying you want to be a part of a tech start up which leads you to be a serial entrepreneur. This is a fine goal, but as a fair warning, you'll need to have a story ready to go here. AdComms are quite wary when it comes to folks who are generic about their entrepreneurial goals - they will probe and challenge you to convince them that you are indeed serious about this and that you have thought this through? Why? Just look at the success rate of start-ups in general. It's a tough place to play, and it's likely the hardest thing you'll do in your life. They know this, and they want to make sure you're all in.

Based on your academic profile and your work experience, I think schools in the top 20-40 make sense for you in the US. I think targeting two in the 20-30 range and then another two in the 30-40 range make sense. UNC KF is a school that comes to mind and one you might benefit from. UCLA Anderson is another one out in the west coast along with UC Irvine that could work as well.

Hope this information helps. Feel free to get back to us with the answers to the above questions. Also, feel free to check out our free resources to get you started for your R2 preparation. Best of luck this season!
