Hi vra123,

I’ve two comments.

First, having worked in a startup gives you more hands-on, real-world knowledge of entrepreneurship than what you’ll possibly get in an MBA program. Even if you can explain some gaps that you would like to fill through an MBA program, it won’t be easy to convince the adcom.

Second, you’re on the older side and you’re planning a second MBA, both of which require some explaining in terms of why you want to pursue an MBA now, why do you need second MBA, and clarity of career goals. If someone falls outside the bell curve (like in your case), the bar gets higher in terms of convincing the adcom.

You may find these two posts useful in this regard:

Nice job on the GMAT, your undergrad experience will ok but not really stand out. Work experience aligns well with your career goals. You will definitely need to explain why you require a second MBA but I think you have an interesting profile that could potentially be successful if you frame your candidacy appropriately
