I have recently completed my GMAT test. Now, I’m planning to apply for the top B-schools, part time. I have a few questions; can you please answer them?
Can you please elaborate the process how to take it from here?
Do I have enough time to apply for the Summer semester?
Does it make any difference in the end result from the semester, Summer Vs Fall, I chose to enter a B-school ?
What are the things that I need to have to start preparing my application?
Is my profile good enough to get into my dream schools(provided below). I’m looking for part-time MBA, since I’m a working professional.
With my profile, are there any chances of getting scholarships?
The details that you may need to know:
GMAT: 710 (Q47, V40)
Nationality: India
Age: 28 yrs
Gender: Male
Work Experience: Close to 5 yrs as a software eng
Work Title: Sr. Design/Developer
Education: Master's in Computer Science
Western Illinois Univ, Illinois, USA
G.P.A - 3.57
Under Grad in Info Tech
JNT Univ, India
I have 63% - not sure in G.P.A
Dream Schools: Booth, Kellogg, Haas - top B.schools that offer part-time
Residence: Chicago

From here, you need to think about your goals. First, what do you hope to achieve with your MBA? Are you sure that a part-time program will help you get there? If so, how will each of your target schools do that? As far as timing is concerned, it doesn't matter when you start - the sooner the better. If you start preparations now, you should have plenty of time to apply by the summer deadline, but you should consider getting some help to have someone guide you along the way, especially around crafting your story, brainstorming essay topics, ensuring your resume is application ready, assistance with your LORs and preparing for your interviews. Your profile, as it stands, is solid for PT programs. While you didn't share much about your work experience, everything else stands out when I compare you to other clients we've worked with that have gotten in to Booth, Kellogg, and Haas (part-time). For part-time programs, there are no scholarships. Hope this helps, and let us know if you'd like to chat. Best of luck!
