Personal Life:
Single mother.
Mother was adopted.
Hispanic.
Raised by my grandparents.
Family was devastated financially by the recession, we lost our business.
Left home at 17, homeless for 2 years.
No car until after college graduation.
Worked nearly full time through all of college.
Hard work paid off and I am successful, own a home, and am upward bound at my new employer.
My biggest concern is my GPA, but there's not much I can do about it now.
I think I can bring my GMAT score up as my practice tests were showing a range up to 690.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Not sure how much of my personal bio should go into my application letter.
Would really like to attend a Top 10 school. I am also very favorable towards University of Florida, which I am speaking with now.
I want to achieve an MBA as a personal goal and in order to grow my career as I want to be in management.
I would also like to try my hand at consulting.
