I'm looking to get into one of the following part-time online MBA programs: UMass Amherst, Florida State University, or Mississippi State University. The average GMAT scores for these online part-time programs range from 570-588.

UMass Amherst - 570 (89% Acceptance Rate)
Florida State University - 575 (66% Acceptance Rate)
Mississippi State University - 588 (71% Acceptance Rate)

Here are my scores:

Verbal: 40
Quant: 35
Overall Score: 620
IR: 7
Analytical Writing: 4.5

Considering how lopsided my verbal/quant scores are, should I retake the GMAT exam? Or should I just go ahead and apply since my score is above average?

White Male
GPA: 3.7
Undergrad Institution: Strayer University
Major: Accounting
Certified Public Accountant
Work Experience: 10 years in accounting, 6 of these with Fortune 500 companies

Hi JTH2837

You can apply with this score.
But I would recommend for a retake.
Work on the exam strategy and complete the Official guide and Quantitative review (If not done)
In the exam, attempt quants first then verbal (In case if you have attempted verbal first)

All the best!

Hi JTH2837

Welcome to Gmat club!

IMO, you should take one more try at GMAT.

You have a decent verbal score and Quant can be improved within less time as compared to Verbal.

For Quant, I would suggest you go thru Manhattan Quant guides and couple them with GMAT club tests.

Thanks
