My GMAT score is 710 (Q: 48, V:38) with 4 in IR.
I want to apply for top EMBA programs like Wharton(UPenn) and Haas (UC Berkeley).
Should I retake GMAT or try EA instead? I am worried if my IR is low and can affect my candidacy?
Hi
swapnils123,
If you think you can improve your GMAT score significantly with additional preparation, and you have the time and resources to retake the test, you can give it a shot. A high GMAT score is not necessarily a requirement for top EMBA programs but a strong score with above average IR will definitely help.
On the other hand, if you feel that your GMAT score is not going to improve much (consider a 30 point jump) and you have a strong overall profile, you could focus on other aspects of your application, such as your essays, recommendations and interview and don't have to obsess over GMAT. The IR score is just fine.
