gokul5544,

You can go ahead and submit both scores and potentially include a note in the Optional essay as well unless you have more important matters to address in the same.

Cheers and wish you all the best!

Hi Folks! Greetings!

I have a question regarding IR scores. I have two Gmat scores and wanted to see if it would be wise to submit both to the colleges I am applying to. I am applying mostly to top colleges in the USA and I am from an over represented demographic.

My Score breakdowns are as follows :

GMAT 1 770 Q50 V45 IR 4 AWA 5
GMAT 2 760 Q49 V44 IR 8 AWA 6

In my first attempt I got the 770. I thought I would try again to see if I could improve my IR score in my second and it did improve but unfortunately my composite fell by 10 due to the reduction in Q and V score.

I am planning on submitting both scores in my application to alleviate any fears that my IR score might bring to Adcoms.

Do you think that would be a wise decision and are there any downsides to this strategy?

Thank You!

My understanding is, that adcoms don't bother much about the IR. But, good on you to retake and score consistently. The adcoms now know that this is your real potential. Submit both the scores and think no longer about the GMAT. Onwards to applications now.

Hello gokul5544,

Apologies for the delayed response but we hope this finds you in time still.

There is absolutely no downside in submitting both scores; with the second score, you are able to showcase your IR skills as well.

All the best!
