Hi,
I did my undegrad studies in Chemical Engineering (BEng Honours in UK) and graduated with a 2:1.
I went on to complete my postgrad masters in Advanced Chemical Engineering (MSc in UK) and graduated with a pass.
I started my career as an engineer and recently managed to pivot into consulting for energy sector (project development).
In total, I have ~9 years of work experience in the energy sector and currently based in Middle East.
As I am looking to pivot into commercial advisory (and business consulting), I am looking to pursue a EMBA.
The following are my questions:
1) May I ask if my grades for MSc (scored an overall "pass") would impact my EMBA application?
2) Does work experience carry higher weightage in EMBA application than past academic records?
Appreciate your help and advice!

Pretty sure there is nothing to worry about. They are more concerned with UG grades because they can compare those across the board from candidate to candidate. This would be the same for FT. I can’t say I’ve worked with someone who has no GPA for masters however and recommend you talk it through in a CV review call with your target schools.
I’m actually more concerned with your goals as they relate to the program - sounds like you’re a civil consultant engineer for energy related projects? Would you be able to work in management consulting without an internship?
One of my clients is now a T2 Principal and feels you should always do an internship and with things tough in that field right now why gamble. So it might make sense to do a FT MBA or at least PT the first year (that said not sure if this option outside US & UK) and then quit after the first year (or sabbatical if possible).
9 years is on the high end for FT and low end for EMBA. Some require 10 years minimum. It’s ideal to have ppl management experience.
For EMBA, yes work experience (leadership challenges in particular) is more valuable than academic perfection because students are teaching each other as much as the professors.
However you don’t need perfect grades to be competitive for a FT program and leadership/engagement/positive impact is probably more important IF you have demonstrated an ability to do math, which I imagine you have.

Some b-schools have eMBA programs running in ME or UK/Europe which may be doable for you, distance wise. Explore these options:
LBS has a Dubai campus
INSEAD has an Abu Dhabi Campus
Booth has a London Campus - they have a link for the CV Review: https://www.chicagobooth.edu/mba/executive/admissions/resume-review/europe
You also have HEC PAris running an eMBA from their HEC campus.
Your Master's GPA should not make much of a difference to your academic profile. However, if you were given a low grade, you should explain the reason why it was low through the optional essay. If the grade itself was pass, it will still make sense to educate the admissions teams on the grading system of your university.
To your second question about the work exp carrying more weightage than your academic records- yes certainly. With 9+ years of experience, you are likely going to have several stories of achievement, impact and leadership which will be relevant to show the strength of your profile. You can also rely upon the quantitative and analytical aspects of your work experience and your business acumen built over the years to show MBA-ready skills. So, it will eventually come down to how well you present your current skills and knowledge, and undersanding of your goals and how an MBA will be beneficial for them, to have a chance at admissons.
I guess the next step for you should be to take the GMAT. Meanwhile, approach all the b-schools mentioned above to explore your eligibility/fit with their programs.
Lastly, if you were to look for one year MBA programs- you'll have a lot of choice from European bschools. And an immersive full time experience can be great at your level of work exp.
