Do I have a decent chance of getting into H/S/W ? What is something I can do to improve my profile? Any tips?
Thank you.
Hi
magnum97,
Yes, you have a credible shot at H/S/W. Your academics (near-perfect GPAs at a T30 and an Ivy), 336 GRE, FAANG experience, research background, and sustained leadership put you in the top academic and technical tier of applicants.
The only real question for H/S/W is timing, not capability. With ~1.5 years of experience, you’re on the younger side, so schools will focus heavily on depth of impact and “why MBA now.” You’ll need to clearly show ownership, leadership, and decision-making beyond internships, and articulate a compelling entrepreneurial mission, especially for Stanford.
To improve your odds: build visible impact in your full-time FAANG role, deepen traction in your startup, and focus essays on leadership growth and purpose (not credentials). Applying now is possible with excellent execution; waiting 1–2 years could meaningfully strengthen your candidacy.
Happy to help you decide the optimal timing and positioning for HBS vs GSB vs Wharton if you’d like.
