Profile & GMAT Focus Score – Need Advice on Modular EMBA Shortlist (24 hrs to send scores)Hi GMAT Club Community,
Quick profile and situation update – I would really appreciate your guidance.
I took the GMAT Focus test 20 hours back. While my mocks were mostly in the
655–670+ range, in the final week my scores dipped to the
600–630 range, and on test day I ended up with a
615.
GMAT Focus Breakdown- Overall: 615
- Quant: 82
- Verbal: 79 (59th percentile)
- Data Insights: 80
I’m currently not planning a retake, but I still have the
24-hour window to send scores to 5 schools, and I want to use it strategically.
Profile Summary
- 11 years of experience, Indian female (ASIA)
- Background across Big 4 consulting + MBB made it only till (consultant) post which I left for a techno-functional role at a global Big Tech firm. Area of expertise- Strategy and program managment
- Geography: Asia-based, strong Middle East exposure, limited Europe (restricted to London) exposure - bleak Americas exposure
- Goal: Add a globally credible master’s degree to my profile (never done a Master’s)
- Not interested in a 2-year full-time MBA due to ROI and career risk
- Targeting Modular Executive MBA / Global EMBA formats (not weekend, not fully online)
- Area of Specialisation:
- Total budget cap: ~₹1 Cr all-in
- Tuition: ₹50–60 L
- Travel + accommodation: ₹25–30 L
- Primary motivation: Leadership acceleration, global credibility, and future C-suite track without quitting my job.
Why EMBA / Global EMBA
A 9–12 month full-time Global MBA still feels risky financially and professionally at this stage. Modular EMBAs with international residencies seem like the best balance of:
- Brand value
- Global exposure
- Network
- Career signaling
- ROI
My Shortlisted Programs (Need Community Validation)My thinking
| Rank | Program | Modular Format | GMAT / EA | Duration |
|---|
| 1 | HEC Paris Executive MBA | Yes (international modules) | GMAT Required | 15–18 months | Very strong brand in EMEA + Americas, excellent leadership positioning, global alumni, true EMBA signaling. |
| 2 | ESSEC–Mannheim EMBA | Yes (Europe + global modules) | GMAT Optional | 18 months | Although GMAT isn’t mandatory, a 615+ is considered competitive and Mannheim even offers a €2,000 fee reduction above certain scores. Sending the score may still add credibility. |
| 3 | NUS Executive MBA | Yes (Asia + global blocks) | GMAT Not Required | 15 months | Strong Asia brand; unsure if sending GMAT adds any value since it’s not required. |
| 4 | RSM Erasmus EMBA | Yes (block modular) | GMAT Required | 18–21 months | Excellent ROI, well-ranked in Europe, fits budget, strong Netherlands + global exposure. |
| 5 | ESCP Executive MBA | Yes (multi-campus modular) | GMAT / EA Accepted | 18–30 months | Pan-European footprint (Paris, Berlin, London, Madrid), strong international network. |
| 6 | Oxford Executive MSc in Finance (Modular) | Yes (2-month block format) | GMAT Required | 24 months | Not an EMBA, but Oxford brand, modular format, tuition ~₹60L, strong credibility add-on. |
What I Need Help With
- Is this a sensible list for a 615 GMAT Focus with 11 years of experience?
- How would you rank these in terms of brand + ROI + career signaling?
- Are there any additions / deletions you would strongly recommend within:
- Modular format
- ₹50–60L tuition
- GMAT-accepting programs
- Strong global reputation
I have
less than 24 hours to finalize score sends, so any quick guidance from admission experts and alumni would be extremely valuable.
Lastly, a big thank you to
GMAT Club and BB – this community has been instrumental throughout my one-year GMAT journey. I’ll be posting a detailed debrief soon, but for now, your advice on this shortlist would mean a lot.
Thanks in advance!
