I have taken my GMAT and my score is:
Total 740 (97%ile)
Verbal 38 (83%ile)
Quant 51 (98%ile)

My question is although my verbal and quant scores are above 80%iles now GMAT precentiles may change from time to time. So my verbal percentile might come below 80%ile in future. Is 80-80 breakup of percentile a stringent criteria for top schools or is it more of a guideline? Is 78%ile or79%ile as good as a 80%ile ?

Also do GMAT percentiles change once every year or does it change from time to time? I could not find any concrete information regarding this from the official website.

It is a guideline, not a requirement. Don't retake.

Best,
Linda

The answer to this depends on where you would like to live and work. About 15-20% of graduates of the Australian programs (AGSM and Melbourne) are able to find jobs in Asia, but Ivey and Rotman in Canada have only 5% of grads returning to Asia. Sauder does seem to have success crossing the border to Asia: 14% of grads found jobs in Asia. So if you do not have a work visa to stay in the host country after you graduate, the Australian programs and Sauder seem like stronger options for your ability to use the degree to secure a job in your home country.

Hi,
Please find the snapshot of my profile and suggest what should i do.

X- 69.6
XII- 81
B.tech - 68.5
Work ex - 4.5 years in a reputed Telecom company
GMAT - 630 (Q50/V25)
I want to know whether my GMAT score and profile is sufficient for me to get admission in good US college for Management information systems(MIS) course?
OR Should i retake the exam but considering my low score i at least need 40 days for prep and thus will have no/small time for application process.

I am not sure whether this score is suffice for MIS course in a good b school along with scholarships....Please help!!
Some of the universities, which i have short listed are:-
University of Arizona- Eller
University of Cincinnati
University of Maryland
University of Michigan
Texas A & M university- Mays
SUNY

Best Regards
