Hi,
I applied to four schools this year and was rejected at 3 without an interview and am still waitlisted at Haas. I was hoping to get your thoughts on whether these schools are realistic and whether it makes sense to reapply to these schools.
1. Stanford (R2) - Rejected
2. Harvard (R2) - Rejected
3. Kellogg MMM (R2) - Rejected
4. Haas (R3)
Undergrad GPA: 3.2 Engineering - Ivy League
GMAT: 730
I am a female, 27, 5 years of work experience. When I applied I was 26, and 4 years of work experience. At the time, I was 3 months into a fellowship to do international development work in India.
Professional background
Most Recently: 10 months Fellow in India doing non-profit/social enterprise work
Previous: 1.5 years at Payment Tech company in corporate strategy; and 2.5 years at sales and marketing consulting firm (was promoted)
Extracurricular: I was VP of Business Strategy for a Bay Area non-profit startup, as well as co-founder of Bay Area Young Professional Chapter
When I applied I said I was interested in working in the social enterprise space, I have since change my mind and am now headed back to my previous employer Payment Tech, because I'm interested in business innovation (I want to help create jobs). Will this be looked upon negatively if I reapply?
