I think original argument has flawed reasoning, mistaken reversal.
A recurring account -> large amount of money.
Large amount money(wealthy person) -> not necessarily would have become wealthy through recurring amount.
if A -> B, then if B -> need not be A.
Only C comes close.
But i still think C has error.
Had choice C read, "Algebra is a valuable subject because it helps you to score high on the GMAT quantitative section. All those who have scored highly in the quantitative section of GMAT must have known algebra". It would have been perfect match to mistaken reversal flaw in the original argument => if a person has scored high in quantitative section of GMAT, he may not have necessarily solved the problem using algebra.
