I made the following logical assumption - if a play is better at chess - he or she "always" wins the game when playing against a player who is not as good as them.

A > B is used to indicate A is better than B.

Sharia > Marcus 
Marcus > Evelyn
Olivia  routinely beats  Evelyn.

So Olivia  >=  Evelyn

Here : Sharia is the strongest among at least Marcus and Evelyn.

Since Olivia is only "routinely" beating Evelyn and not always - it is safe to assume that Olivia is not as better than Evelyn as is Sharia ( who is better than a person already better than Evelyn )

So Sharia > Olivia.

But routinely also means regularly. So the safest would be to assume both are equally good, since no other information is given as to who is better among them.

I would go with C.

Even by that interpretation Olivia would only be equal to someone who is better than Evelyn ( i.e Marcus).

Since we are given Sharia > Marcus and by your logic -> Marcus = Olivia so....

Sharia > Olivia.

Since mrcus is a better player than Elvin marcus and olivia can be approximated to be equal or olivia to inferior let us reject the later case since that will not affect significantly in which Sharla will beat Olivia

B. Sharla will beat Olivia
Exactly the right inference

C. The game will end in a draw
Cannot be infered from the current premise - Hence out

D. Olivia will decide not to play Sharla because she is intimidated
Out of context - Hence out

E. The two women will decide not to play chess at all
Out of context -Hence out 
Therefore IMO B

We have S>M>E. We also have O>E.
So what could be true here.

official answer says B (S>O). This is called reasoning test. So how can anyone here prove 100% that S>O. No one can. This is a very poorly structured question. If any answer choice could be true about this question, it would C not B and I won’t even say its a 100% solid answer
