Mr. Q: More and more people are drinking mineral water. Having a mineral water dispenser in one's home, and having water delivered, will soon become popular since it makes more sense than constantly buying bottles.

Mr. S: I don't think that will happen since having water delivered is far more expensive than buying bottles of water.

Which of the following, if true, most strengthens Mr. Q's claim?

Ok so we have to strengthen that in spite of high cost of water dispenser and water delivery compared to bottled water, it will soon become popular

(A) Water that contains a high amount of minerals per volume is known as hard water. : This information is irrelevant to the current argument : No effect : Eliminate A

(B) Signing up to a water delivery service requires that the consumer buy a fairly expensive dispenser from the supplier. This statement is actually strengthening Mr. S's argument and not Mr. Q's . Eliminate B

(C) Bottles are easier to recycle than containers for mineral water dispensers. Again, this statement is strengthening Mr. S's argument and not Mr. Q's . Eliminate C

(D) Having water delivered usually results in the monthly cost of drinking water to be about 20% more expensive than water from other sources. This argument also quantifies and adds to the point made by Mr. S. Eliminate D

(E) Many consumers are willing to pay extra in order to avoid the hassle of having to purchase, carry, store, and recycle mineral water bottles. Yes, this is correct. Even though the cost is high, the service will be popular because it will involve less hassle than bottled water.

Premise: more ppl drink mineral water
Encounter: having water delivered is far more expensive than buying bottles
Conclusion: Having a mineral water dispenser having water delivered: soon popular

Assumption of mrS: money is the only key factor impacting on purchasing decision.
==> to strengthen mrQ, we'll weaken mrS by saying that: money is NOT the only key factor impacting on purchasing decision.

(A) Water that contains a high amount of minerals per volume is known as hard water. --> discussing about character of water without giving any reason related to purchasing decision --> out

(B) Signing up to a water delivery service requires that the consumer buy a fairly expensive dispenser from the supplier. --> weaken --> out

(C) Bottles are easier to recycle than containers for mineral water dispensers. --> weaken --> out

(D) Having water delivered usually results in the monthly cost of drinking water to be about 20% more expensive than water from other sources. --> weaken --> out

(E) Many consumers are willing to pay extra in order to avoid the hassle of having to purchase, carry, store, and recycle mineral water bottles. --> Gives a reason for switching to dispensers / deliver

==> IMO: E

Correct option : E

Most strengthens Mr. Q's claim :
- must have advantage towards dispenser
- More and more people are drinking mineral water : Health benefits
-(Advantages) Having a mineral water dispenser in one's home : One time installation, easily available any time, limited schedule maintenance.
- (disadvantage) Having water delivered : needs constantly buying bottles, bollte's need to be consumption, need space for storeage, travel to store to purchase, budget every month to buy.

(A) - Wrong - gives information about water specifications, no conclusion can be derived, - irrelevant
(B) - Wrong -comparison between purchase vs quality from supplier, favor Mineral bottle - weaken
(C) - Wrong - gives information about Bottles recycle process than containers for mineral water dispensers, favor Mineral bottle - weaken
(D) - Wrong - gives information about monthly cost of drinking water to be about 20% more expensive than water from other sources - irrelevant

(E) - Correct - Strengthen - advantage over mineral bottle- Many consumers are willing to pay extra in order to avoid the hassle of having to purchase, carry, store, and recycle mineral water bottles.
