Given J = 0.75 P and J = 0.8 T ---> 0.75P =0.8T ----> T = (15/16)P ---> % of T less than P = \(\frac{P-T}{P} * 100\) = 6.25 %, D is the correct answer.

Usually We can solve every question of this type by choosing appropriate value of the Variable and deriving the value of other related variables.

Let, P = 400
then J = (75/100)*400 = 300
also J = (80/100)*T
i.e. T = 300*100/80 = 375

and T = [1-(x/100)]*P
i.e. 100-x = 100*T/P = 100*375/400 = 93.75
i.e. x = 6.25

Answer: Option D

we can directly have relation. .75P=.80T (as these both are values of J)----=> T=75/80 P----1.
we have been given T= P(1-x/100)
so by Putting the value of T from1. we get 75/80 P=P(1-x/100) and from here we get a value of x=6.25.

Let \(P = 100 \); \(J = 75 \) & \(T = 93.75\)

Thus, \(\frac{6.25}{100}*100 = 6.25\)% , Answer must be (D)
