Total = # of French + # of Chemistry - # of Both (French and Chemistry) + # of Neither

\(150= 63+48-21+Neither => 150=90+Neither => Neither = 60\)

Option: A

Using venn diagram, we know student taking only french = 42, only chemistry = 27 and both = 21. Add all three categories, we get 90 student who have taken either french, or chemistry or both.

So, student who have taken neither french nor chemistry = 150-90 = 60.

Total Students= 150
Students taking french= 63
Students taking only french=63-21=42
Students taking chemistry=48
Students taking only chemistry=48-21=27

Neither french nor chemistry=150-90= 60
Therefore A is the answer
