Side of square \(= s\)
Area of square \(= s^2\)
2 squares forming rectangle will have area \(= s^2 + s^2 = 2s^2 .\) Answer (B) ...

HI,
Let the length of the square be s. When two squares are joined the length would be 2s and breadth is s.
Area of rectangle is 2s*s=2s^2
