If \(3^{-x}+3^{-x}+3^{-x}=1\), what is the value of x?

A. -1

B. -1/2

C. 1/3

D. 1/2

E. 1
\(3^{-x}+3^{-x}+3^{-x}=1\)

\(3^{-x}(1+1+1) = 1\)

\(3^{-x}(3) = 1\)

\(3^{(-x+1)} = 1\) ----- (i)

\(3^0 = 1\), Therefore substituting \(3^0\) in equation (i) we get;

\(3^{(-x+1)} = 3^0\)

\(-x+1 = 0\)

\(x = 1\)

Answer (E)...

E. 1
3\(^{-x}\) = \(\frac{1}{3^{x}}\)

\(\frac{1}{3^{x}}\) + \(\frac{1}{3^{x}}\) + \(\frac{1}{3^{x}}\) = 1

\(\frac{1}{3}\) + \(\frac{1}{3}\) + \(\frac{1}{3}\) = 1

x = 1
