The perimeter of all 6 squares is 14x.

The area is 6x^2.

Since the perimeter is equal to the area, we have:

14x = 6x^2

7 = 3x

7/3 = x

The length of each side is x centimeters. 14 sides are exposed, thus the perimeter is 14x.
