|A|>2
0<|B|<1
|C|=0
1<|D|<2
|E|=2

Therefore, E has the second largest absolute value

It's asking second-"least" not largest

Posted from my mobile device

Good spot. Lost in typing :-D

|C|=0
1<|D|<2
|E|=2

Therefore, B has the second least absolute value

Can you please explain this solution?

Since we're trying to find absolute values here, we may mirror the points on the negative side to the positive side by folding them over 0. Comparing absolute values means we only care about the magnitude. In other words, the absolute value is how far the point is from 0.
The value with the least absolute value will be the point closest to 0, which is C. The value with the 2nd least absolute value will be the next point closest to 0, which is B. If we were to put these points in order we would have |C| < |B| < |D| < |E| < |A|.

Official Explanation

Absolute value is best thought of as distance from zero. The point here with the smallest distance from zero is C. The point with the second-least distance from zero is B. The distance from zero of C is zero, or close to zero. The distance from zero of B is a little less than 1, and the distance from zero of D is a little more than 1.

The correct answer is (B).
