Avg speed for a round trip = 2S1 * S2 / S1+S2

2*20*30 / 20+30 = 24

Average speed = 340/((170/20)+(170/30)) = 2*20*30/50 = 24

Option E

Hi, 2 comes by dividing numerator and denominator by 170.

20*30/50 is simplified version of 1/(1/20+1/30)

The answer is E.
time = distance / speed so therefore:
average speed = total distance / total time = 340 / [(170/20) + (170/30)] = did a lot of calculations to get... 24

it took a long time to calculate that ^ equation. is there a quicker way?
