A takes 3 hours to cover distance D at speed 2S/hour
B takes ? hours to cover the same distance (distance D) at speed S/hour

Distance=speed·time 
 Distance=\frac{2S}{hour}·3 hour=6S

Therefore, both A and B travel a distance of 6S.

Distance=speed·time 
 6S=\frac{S}{hour}·? hour; 
 ? hour=\frac{6S}{\frac{S}{hour}}=\frac{6S·hour}{S}=6 hour
