the lines y – x = 2, 3x + 4y = 29 and y = 2
=> 3 points: (3,5) (7,2) and (0,2) => area = 1/2 (3*7) = 10.5
The answer is D

Area of shaded region AXY= (3/5)^2 *Total area=21/2

Bunuel how to draw line 3x + 4y = 29
Show more
 To draw a line, you find its x and y-intercepts by substituting x=0 and y=0, respectively, and draw a line through them.

However, for this question, it's better to find the three intercepts of the lines and then evaluate the triangle formed. Notably, the base would be 7 and the height would be 3, giving an area of 1/2*7*3 = 10.5.
