What is the area of the triangle formed between the lines y – x = 2, 3x + 4y = 29 and y = 2?

A. 4.5
B. 6
C. 9
D. 10.5
E. 12

Bunuel how to draw line 3x + 4y = 29
To draw a line, you find its x and y-intercepts by substituting x=0 and y=0, respectively, and draw a line through them.

However, for this question, it's better to find the three intercepts of the lines and then evaluate the triangle formed. Notably, the base would be 7 and the height would be 3, giving an area of 1/2*7*3 = 10.5.
