Does line L pass through III quadrant?

Statement 1:
Line L doesn't have X-intercept.
=> Line L is parallel to X-axis
Case 1: Line L has positive Y-intercept.
=> Line L passes through I and II quadrants.
Case 2: Line L has negative Y-intercept.
=> Line L passes through III and IV quadrants.
Statement 1 is Not Sufficient.

Statement 2:
Y-intercept of line L is positive
Case 1: Line L has positive slope.
=> Line L passes through I, II and III quadants.
Case 2: Line L has negative slope
=> Line L passes through I, II and IV quadrants.
Statement 2 is also Not Sufficient.

Statement 1 and Statement 2 combined:
Line L doesn't have X-intercept and Y-intercept of line L is positive.
It is similar to Case 1 of Statement 1
=> Line L passes through I and II quadrants.
=> Line L does not pass through III quadrant
Statement 1 and Statement 2 together are Sufficient.

So, correct answer is option E.

Hi MarmikUpadhyay,

I feel that there is typographical error in writing of final answer.
If both Statement 1 and Statement 2 together are Sufficient, than answer will be C.
Please edit your post.
Thanks.
