I'd say the main reason I want to go to MBB is to gain more credibility and experience/network/skills in advising and gaining experience with upper management. My thinking is that this would give me a bit more flexibility to explore avenues other than education in the future since I remain interested in the health, sports & technology industries. Would you say that for the purposes of my essays and application, I veer more closely towards a story where I remain in education reform & consulting rather than going with a more general approach? Thanks so much for the feedback Jon!

Well, it's a suggestion. Although if you are REALLY not into it, then no need to do that. But the idea is that you really want things to make sense. And it's also very possible to combine both. Like "I want to become a McKinsey associate with a specialization in Education. In all likelihood, if you do pull a position like that, you would end up doing mostly, although not exclusively education stuff.

But, as long as a) it makes sense and b) the passion is there, you are good. (A wee bit of uniqueness can just make you more interesting)

Best of luck to you!
