Northeastern: I already gave my deposit. BU: I very surprisingly got off the waitlist this week.
BU was my top choice ever since I decided I was going to go for my MBA, but moved them out of my mind since I got the waitlist in December. But after learning more about Northeastern I really like their program - the networking they provide the students via the career fairs they have for internships and full time positions, and the 6 month internship they do (which is paid!). Also, when I visited the campus and spoke with students, they really seemed down to earth and easy going. And out of all the schools I visited (never visited BU) I felt most comfortable and "at home" with the Northeastern students. Before knowing more about Northeastern, I think I would have picked BU, but not sure anymore. I know BU is higher up on the ranking, but does that really matter after your first job and if you're not going to a top 20 school? Not sure. The other catch is the generous scholarship Northeastern is giving me - about 70% of my tuition. With the scholarship and the paid 6 mo residency (if I play my cards right), I could, possibly, get out of B-school debt free.
What would GMAT club do?
PS. I would love to get some insight on BU's MBA program from students or graduates or anyone who knows!
I should mention that I'm interested in using my MBA to crack into the business side of health care.
