Hi all,
Need your help in deciding which school I should apply to from above 6. I can only apply to 3 due to limitations of time of my recommenders and getting in quality recommendations from them. At best I can stretch it to 4 schools.
Some background about me:
Male, 26
Indian Engineer
GMAT - 710
GPA - 3.7 studied at a reputed university in Singapore
WE : 4 years at matriculation; Supply Chain Management in Singapore at a F500 firm
I want to switch to the management consulting industry after MBA. I am flexible in terms of location (Singapore/US/UK) and size of firm I work for after graduation, but would prefer MBB for starters.
My biggest worry is that I am from an overrepresented group and I would like to apply to places where I have the highest chances of getting in as well as fulfill my career goals of going into consulting.
I am already applying at Tuck, Kellogg and INSEAD as I am quite impressed by their program and recruiting opportunities in the consulting industry.
In terms of fit, I have attended the information session of Ross and was quite impressed by their culture as well as the general vibe from the alumni. I am open to a college town vs big city environment as I have experience of studying in both these environments in the past. I will be attending the information session of Duke and Darden in the coming weeks.
Any inputs/advice will be appreciated. I need to finalize in next 1-2 weeks until then I should be done with my Tuck and Kellogg applications.
