if you want to stay in LA forever Throw in USC as well. Weather-wise I'd say California goes Pepperdine (Malibu) > UCLA > USC > Stanford > Berkeley.

Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate it. However, I meant SoCal weather as an example, not neccessarily California schools only. Could anyone list schools in cities with fabulous weather outside california, and on the global scale? Maybe even Asia and Europe?

Again, thanks a lot for your responses. Appreciate it.

Yeahh I was gonna name a few non-CA schools but then I couldn't really think of any with good weather haha. Austin (McCombs) is sunny and nice but incredibly hot in the summer. The south east is nice but gets really rainy and gross in the summer, says Google (UNC, Duke, UVA). Colder than CA in the winter too. I assume beautiful summers and painful winters are a no-go so Chicago is out. Most other good schools are in the northeast with those winters or near Seattle with all the rain. Depends on what you'd rather deal with I guess (rain vs humidity vs snow but for fewer days). Essentially every other city with a MBA program I've heard of is quite a bit more extreme.

Would love to hear those Asia/Europe cities as I'm making vacation plans :D

You've got some of the best listed already.

SDA Bocconi (Italy) - Milan
IESE (Spain) - Madrid
IE (Spain) - Madrid
ESADE (Spain) - Barcelona (Coastal living)
Melbourne Business School (Aus) - Melbourne
AGSM (Aus) - Sydney (Right near Coogee beach)
Lisbon Nova (Portugal) - Lisbon
Cape Town GSB (SA) - Cape Town

Then you could debate IMD - gets some cracking weather in Summer and Lausanne is beautiful.

Sure i've missed a couple - theres a couple in LatAm that could have great weather.

This is great guys, keep them coming. If somebody could list some Asian/Eurasian schools too, that'd be awesome. You can help engineer1234 pick a vacation spot and help me choose a school lol

If somebody can suggest more, I'll compile them together in a list and start a new topic - Schools with great weather - which might help someone in the future searching for the same info.

Appreciate the responses. Keep them coming!

The problem with the Asian schools will be monsoon seasons mean weather wont be good-great year round. However for warmth - NUS in Singapore would be fine - Also could list the number of schools in India.

I'm from NC, and our summers are lovely, not gross at all. Our summer rainstorms are gorgeous and only last a few hours. It can get pretty chilly in the winter, though.

That's great to hear rigabamboo! Could you please elaborate what one can expect in the in the winter, what it's like? How long are the winters usually?

Definitely! Keep in mind that I grew up in NC but I've been living abroad for the past five years, so I may be looking at this through rose-tinted glasses. The winters are, overall, fairly mild, though we usually get a couple of cold snaps each winter month (December, January). The temperature in winter usually hovers around 35~45F, and I've never seen it drop below 20F. Light snowfall in January is common, and occasionally in late December, but a "big" snowfall only comes once every 2 or 3 years. (A "big" snowfall in NC means enough snow to accumulate to two~four inches.) You'll need a light jacket in October and November and a winter coat in December and January. February could go either way. By March it's pretty much warm again.

Also, July is hot as hell. :)

ShoeBunny: Thanks for the suggestion. I'll add it to the list.

The school list was created when I first joined. The idea was to find more school through this thread, shortlist the ones that seem to be a good fit and then edit my schools from there.
