Im in a similar position, i've been admitted to both Krannert and Kelley and I am deciding between the two. I am hoping to go into Marketing in the CPG or tech feilds. I was offered only $5K a year at Kelley so not quite as nice, but one thing I did which has helped make the decision is brushing off the old Time-value of money skills from college. Run a Net-Present Value model based off the debt you will go into and the salary you can expect coming out of each program.

When I did that, I did a worst case scenario (in terms of salary) from Purdue, and a good scenario from Kelley, and Krannert still came out way on top because of the difference in debt.

Best of luck man! this has been the hardest choice i've ever made by far haha

Congrats for admit
P.S.: both schools does not have strong name outside USA. Ironically, I know some people who consider Purdue University in France :-D

Purdue actually has a very strong branding in Asia... plenty of engineering/ tech based undergrad from Asia that came from Purdue

I agree that Purdue possesses high rank in some part of the world due its name in engineering programs and the undergrad programs. Carrying that fame of engineering does not mean its Management program has the same quality except in supply chain and operation. My principals in the US love Purdue and me too because it has one of the strong industrial engineering program across the nation and simply we are all industrial engineers but they do not recommend it for MBA.

in the future - please do state that explicitly about the MBA program. I did my undergrad myself, and I do find no lack of people who knows the name "Purdue"; while they may not know where the school itself is, they do know that it is a good school.

to OP - i believe that Kelly's leap's and bound's closer to getting you where you want to be the end of the day. While the $$ may be a lot more than Purdue, you will only be doing your MBA once, and it's hard to see how Purdue's strength in Supply Chain can translate and help you in the next level (consulting), unless you are interested in that, which from your note, you currently are not seeking to specialize in that.

Yes, while I have also heard a couple of my (MBA friends) who got consulting jobs with the likes of AT Kearney, Cognizant etc, most of their classmates were looking/got jobs in the more consumer goods/industrial nature (think P&G-I think P&G might be their top recruiter, Cummins)
