Hi All,
I'm equally passionate about both these schools that I got admits into. Really need urgent help on which to matriculate at.
My Post-MBA goals- Product Management or Consulting.
Target firms- Deloitte, Amazon, Sears, Nike, Digital practice at other consulting firms.
OPTIONS with Pros and Cons
1. Carlson- No Scholarship and very expensive tuition + living costs ($160k for 2 years)
- Competitive for leadership positions at clubs
- Strong IT concentration
- Strong alum base
- Strong recruitment stats
- Higher starting salary
- Higher Ranking and brand name
- Real-life projects throughout the study
2. Simon- Scholarship worth 40% of tuition + 60% ISLP paid by college (so cost to me is ~$100k for 2 years)
- Forte fellowship => more access to networking opportunities and exclusive job postings for women, easier leadership opportunities in clubs
- Strong Finance/ Analytics concentration
- Strong alum base
- Average recruitment stats (in terms of companies and positions graduates go on to work in)
- Lower starting salary
- Lower Ranking and brand name
- Mixed reviews from current students and alums
I don't prefer one over other as my target companies seem to recruit from both schools, but I'm also an international student.
Please help out me as my enrollment deadline for Simon is 4th April.
