Hi All,

I have applied to Erasmus and IVEY FT MBA. I already have an offer from Smurfit with a decent scholarship.
I did some research, post tax average salary after taxes for Erasmus and IVEY are almost same. But, for smurfit, it is 10%less and Ireland is way too costly to live in.

Job opportunities are good after all 3 MBAs. And, Smurfit MBA will cost half that of Erasmus.
So, shall I go for ROI or brand name (Erasmus is better placed in rankings compared to IVEY & Smurfit)?

Congrats!

Ivey is in Canada... it is fairly well know for its cases. However Erasmus is probably the most well known. So if you are already leaning towards Erasmus, I would head there. However, keep in mind that it is a 12-month program and it starts in Jan.... and that has an impact on an internship options as well as switching industries.

In Addition to ROI or brand name, please also look into ease of getting work permit,which college will suit your post MBA ambition in term of industry sector and which college has strong almuni base.

True, I have considered those factors as well. Work visa situation and post MBA opportunities are also similar in all 3 colleges.
I am not sure about the alumni network. But I believe, all 3 should have a strong alumni base as the programs are quite old.

In Canada, IVEY is very respected and offers a good ROI. RSM is world renowned, yet ROI is not that great.
Plus, living expenses are less in Canada compared to Netherlands.
Weather is nice in Netherlands.

So, I just cannot avert a big confusion here.

Sorry for the confusion, but I have just applied to RSM. I got a scholarship from Smurfit as I mentioned above.

Actually i know of friend who has done his MBA from RSM.He searched for Jobs in Netherlands for about one year,Then he has to come back to India. His interest was to Join Energy sector.He told that in his Batch , there were 3 or 4 people who had to come back to India.
I think that Once somebody come back to India after MBA abroad , ROI goes for toss.
My Friend and other who were not able to find job in Netherland were from Mechanical and Civil Engg background.
IT people did not face any problem in finding job.
That is why i was saying that look into work visa issue.
You can start looking for companies in which almuni of your target college work by using Linkedin and possibly send them connection request.I think that they will be willing to answer your queries.
For consultancy job, Knowledge of local language is plus.

Princ, I agree. I am from IT background, so as per my connections on LinkedIn, work visa issues are not there for IT people.
And, yes for consultancy job local language is a plus. But, there are firms which operate completely in English.

I am thinking of applying to RSM -Full time MBA.
I am from Fashion Retail and want to switch to Marketing role.
I am particularly looking at Netherlands MBA programmes, Do you think there are good job opportunities in Marketing sector post RSM MBA ( especially for a foreigner/Indian Female )
For example I would like to work with Nike, Amazon, Loreal ..etc.
