Congratulations on your admits!
Getting an MBA without work experience it’s not really helpful. Not always, but usually just looking at the business school, the person without work experience is the last one to find a job. It’s like being the last guy to protect on the team. Not a great feeling. There are definitely exceptions in case you have connections or you like out but in general, looking across statistical chances, the value you will gain from your business school experience Will be a lot less if you don’t have any work experience under your belt. The bare minimum is usually two years and that’s the bare minimum and ideally you would have three or four. I would argue that 3 should be the new minimum since you are applying when you only have to years and the experience is counted at the point of matriculation.
Why is work experience important? It helps with learning and it helps with adding a perspective and value to the class. It also helps with recruiting for an internship or your final job. I don’t want to harp too much on it in case you know these details but let me know if you have any further questions. Don’t just take my word for it, you should challenge notions and ask questions if something does not make sense to you. You were still young and not jaded so I am courage you to challenge the traditional points of view!
